Who we are and who's who

Huntly - we are a church in Huntly, Aberdeenshire. A church is a group of people (not a building) that meet together to learn about God and to express their love for Him and their faith in Him. But you don’t have to be a Christian to come along, anyone who wants to know about God is welcome.

Christian In the bible, the book of John chapter 3, verse 16 says:

‘For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.’

A Christian is someone who has accepted Jesus Christ as their saviour.

Fellowship – is sharing our lives together to love and support each other, based on our shared love of God.

The Bible says in the book of Hebrews, chapter 10 and verses 23 – 25:

‘Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another’.

Meeting together as a church is important because it helps us to stay faithful to God, to show our love for one another and to encourage us to show God’s love to each other and to those around us.

John, chapter 13, verse 35 Jesus says "By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another".

We hope and pray that the way we live our lives both in and out of church, helps others to see the love Jesus has for them, so that they might trust in Him as their saviour too.

Our church is led by our elders; Alex, Steve and John.
